**Lafayette College ED I Class of 2020***

Did the letter come with the rest of the mail or was it separate because it is a special letter?

Regular mail. Postmarked 12/11

Do you guys know when will international students receive the email? so nervous right now

We are in PA also. Hopefully tomorrow! The angst is nutty!

@birdman do you mind sharing with us what your sons stats are? Feeling incredibly nervous!!
My stats are 3.60 unweighted 29 ACT all honors or APs… Good amount of extracurricular and volunteer hours. Outstanding recommendations. Could you tell by the envelope that it was good news !!! UGH wish it was tomorrow!!!

@nat2020 in my opinion you’re in great shape! Your GPA is right on par with the average accepted student at Lafayette, plus, you take all AP’s and honors. Lafayette places strong emphasis on challenging yourself, and your course load shows that you do that. Your test score is above the middle of the mid 50 range in the early decision pool, and great recs and EC’s always help! Good luck! I am in the same boat as you are right now but it will all be okay in the end!

He scored 2010 on the SAT. Top 10 in his class. 4.0 unweighted GPA. Mostly honors and AP. Letter said “congratulations” on the outside, with a nice personalized acceptance letter inside.

Best of luck to you guys. BTW he’s a mechanical engineering major.

Dear daughter got hers this morning… she was home sick and now she has perma grin!!!

@emella I am so nervous I can’t even wait till my mail comes!! Congrats!! Can you share her stats?

According to her letter, her essay weighed in along with her general interests in theater and American Studies… she had an 3.6 unweighted w/ 3-4 A/Ps per year and various leadership activities -SATS were 2100 super scored - no ACTs. Her situation is a little unique in that she had a concussion her sophomore year which kept her homebound for the entire year, and still finished with a 3.4. She had to work really hard with a tough curriculum the following two years to make up some lost ground. She was sitting on 3.9 roughly unweighted I believe and in the interview they made a note that the would look at each year separately. She lost a lot with the concussion… sports she loved, friends and an amazing educational track record… we are so thrilled she will be attending the school of her choice.

My son got his letter today in Maryland.

@Emella So happy for your D an for your family. You should be so proud of her for working through such tough times and coming out on top! My D is a senior at Lafayette and loves it – I hope your D will be very happy there as well.

Congrats to all who got in and for all those who are waiting, hang in there.

Thank you, happy! We are all floating tonight! We are all looking forward to a new start! I’ve followed some of your comments and I love hearing how positive the experience has been for you all.

My daughter got her acceptance letter today in Connecticut. We are over the moon!

Excited here as well. I’ll have a freshman and senior there next year.
