yeah yeah yeah, don't remind me. but as laserbase said, the lakers will win next year. there's no denying that amazing fact. the lakers will be invincible with a tough center in bynum back in the lineup.

If the Lakers had the 3-2 advantage they deserved (from a fairly officiated Game 2, not the BS that we got), then I think this game would have been much closer. But the Celtics are going to suck next year when their team falls apart from injuries and lack of motivation. The Lakers will have a bunch of young, healthy, and energetic players who will take them to the top of the WC and then to the trophy.

second that!

shut up......Boston deserved it no matter what you say...you guys are boring.

i meant about what will happen next season...not the stuff about the refs ruining the game. in fact, i didn't watch much of that game anyways so i have no opinion on the matter.

Bynum was sorely missed.

The Lakers will get better with a younger team but it will be a close one. Spurs to once again push it in the West?

wow annihilated...haha.

Boston sucks. Celtics fans can enjoy their temporary victory, but as many have said, Lakers will win the championship next year. Kobe, Gasol, Bynum, Odom, and Fisher!! Perfect. Can't get any better. Kobe will be at his prime. Bynum will improve dramatically. Odom and Gasol will continue their greatness. Go Lakers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as a Laker fan i cant wait for next year when we'll dominate and the celtics will go the way of the heat 15-67 (hahaha) anyway LAKERS will kill and the spurs are dying they are old and they need to rebuild

c's deserved it, i guess.

the lakers' defense was atrocious, but it can't be helped when you have a defensive liability and softie in gasol guarding the post.

Yeah who cares if Celtics or Lakers won? The series was boring anyway. So Mr. David Sperm, how'd you like your "dream" matchup? History and tradition? Both teams were like fast food at best... instantly made into contenders this year. Not really a juicy rivalry. Also, too many bandwagon fans on both side. I must also say your efforts to beef up this series were pretty lame and pathetic. I mean come on, Paul Pierce game 1 = Willis Reed = Drama? LOL. Please.

lol are you joking? Even if you assume the Lakers somehow win game 2, who's to say the celtics dont win either games 3 or 5, which they almost won anyway?

And all this "omg lakers are gonna pwn next year" talk is ridiculous. They said the same thing back in '03 when they had Shaq/Kobe/Malone/Payton....

Besides, next NBA finals is 2009. The Spurs are gonna follow their "win every odd year" tradition...

But then who's to say the Celtics get so lucky in Game 4?

And there is a difference between the 2009 Lakers and the 2003 Lakers: team chemistry. The 2003 Lakers were just a bunch of stars thrown together, which does nothing for good teamplaying (see US basketball in 2004). The 2009 Lakers will function as a whole unit much more efficiently and effectively.

Celtics weren't "lucky" in game 4. They fought back just the same way they did in game 5. They couldn't seal the deal in 5 because pierce lost the ball (which is actually unlucky, and kobe didnt get a hand on it). Even by lakers fanboy arguments, the series would still go 6 in favor of the celtics at most...and it did.

wow i was way bummed that the Lakers lost! I really wanted them to win! oh well, did anyone have any good playoff parties?

the deciding factor in this series was that the celtics had two swingmen in pierce and allen. the closest the lakers saw of that in the playoffs was the parker-ginobli tandem in the WCF, and even then ginobli was injured. but for all the laker haters: with bynum back next year, he'll cover the weak interior defense that hurt the lakers this series, and there's no reason that we can't get to the finals next year. the only team i see making a legitimate run is new orleans. the spurs are too old.

As I said Celtics will take it all the way and here we are. Who are the Champs?? CELTICSS!!! YAY! I'm so happy those guys really deserved it. "Blood sweat and tears"

It doesnt take luck to win against the #1 offensive team. It takes heart and skill. Dont get mad because LA didnt have it in the end. The great teams always win because of it, plus Defense is far better than offense.

I'm from Boston so heckkkk yeah that the Celtics won! FINALLY!
Too bad the Patriots didn't win this year.. or we would've dominated - Red Sox, Celtics, and Pats.

Defense,defense!

Wouldnt even have been a contest had Bynum been there.

Excuses, excuses.

Lakers fans - YOUR TEAM LOST. DEAL WITH IT. Don't make excuses for it.
It's obvious the Lakers were the worse team this year in the finals, so deal with it. I'm sick and tired of LA fans blaming the "cheapness" of the Celtics or the lack of Andrew Bynum. Heck, the Dodgers won a World Series where Kirk Gibson had 1 at-bat because they were still the better team, so... why couldn't the Lakers win without Bynum? Because they were the worse team!
