<p>Does anyone know what is involved in the language placement exams, particularly for Chinese (Mandarin)? Is listening, reading, writing, and speaking involved? Is one emphasized over the other?</p>
<p>They are ridiculously easy and involve listening and reading, in a multiple-choice exam. No writing, IIRC, and no speaking. Those are on the competency exam.</p>
