Does anyone have any recommendations on the best laptop to purchase for Pitt bioengineering? I currently have a MacBook Pro that I’ve had for the past two years. I am planning on majoring in bioengineering on the premed track and am wondering if I will need to buy a new laptop. I’m planning on taking all my notes for my classes on my iPad and would prefer the compatibility between the iPad and MacBook. So is having a MacBook impossible as a Bioengineering student at Pitt?
The best advice my student got when starting engineering at Pitt was “continue using the same system you are used to using.” If you prefer your MacBook, keep your MacBook.
Mine is Civil E, not BioE but she’s about to be a senior and has had just one issue that was easily resolved with a trip to the computer center at Benedum.
You will love your iPad for taking notes. She has said many times that hers was “lifechanging” in terms of reducing time taking notes.
