<p>I would recommend Asus or Sager. Those two brands are by far the best in the notebook industry. And what do you mean by “best possible laptop for school”? It really depends on your needs.</p>
<p>Either or but I’ve always had pcs. And I mean like the best laptop for office activities such as word, PP, movie maker I don’t need it for gaming or movies</p>
<p>If you’re planning to use your laptop a lot through the day and in classes, try getting a 12 cell battery laptop - lasts almost twice as long and makes it much more convenient</p>
<p>i’m a PC person, but if you are absolutely just going to use it for school, browsing, and media, i say go for a macbook pro if money is really not an issue. you won’t have to really worry about viruses, etc cause they are less vulnerable. On the other hand, if you have a better knowledge of comps and get around these issues and wanna be able to do more, get a PC. I recommend an ASUS for a laptop.</p>
<p>i currently own the ASUS UL30Vt-X1 . you can get it off amazon for less than $800 before shipping i think. definitely an awesome laptop for me because its well rounded and i do alot of gaming.</p>
<p>If you don’t mind spending around $1000, get the Macbook 13inch. It’s a fairly good value for the price range. It has really good battery life (8+ hrs) with wifi and regular browsing + word processing.

<p>If you want something to play video games with, the Alienware m11x is best for you. It has nVidia optimus which switches your graphics cards based on your usage. The battery life is not as good as the MB13, but it is still pretty good (around 4-5 hrs wifi + regular browsing and word processing).

<p>Macbooks are overrated and overpriced. The same can be said about Alienware notebooks. Although you get quality builds for both macbooks and alienware notebooks, but the two are overpriced for the hardware that is placed into its’ machines. Whether you are a gamer or not, you should look into Asus or Sager notebooks, for they offer top of the line quality and you get your money’s worth in hardware. If you are only using the notebook for office needs then try looking into ASUS UL50VT-A1. It is about $800 and far better than the specs of the 13" macbook.</p>
<p>PS: Don’t be manipulated like the majority of people by the marketing of the big brands.</p>
<p>Alright yeah i was thinking the same things about the MacBooks even though they look very nice. If I was to buy an asus or sager, what would be the best all around in terms of quality and value. All of their computers look nice however I’m not sure which would be the best for an all in one in case I ever decide to “game” or other media stuff. Thanks everyone-Jayce</p>

<p>Gaming: ASUS G73JH-A2 | SAGER NP9285 | Sager NP8850</p>
<p>If you decide to purchase a Sager and money is not an issue then choose the NP9285 or NP8850, else pick the NP8760. The UL50VT-A1 and NP8760 can be used for gaming as well, and will be able to run most games with no lag, but they won’t be as good as the higher end performance units.</p>
