Hi, I’ll be majoring in biology and I wanted to know what kind of a laptop should I buy? would any kind be fine? Any suggestions? Thanks!

What will you be using it for? Just browsing the web, email, writing?

Yea i think the basic stuff?

Try looking up the new Dell Inspiron 14Z, It’s a great notebook & relatively budget friendly.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X220/X230 is a pricey but good option if you want something small and powerful. It costs a bit more than most other laptops but is EXTREMELY rugged if you’re as clumsy as I am - mine (the cheaper but bigger T-series) have been dropped, kicked, and used to make sandwiches and still run. Get the HD+ screen.

Best of all is the warranty. 24/7 phone support based in the USA and, if you’re mechanically inclined, they’ll send you parts like a HDD or keyboard.

Thank you MuzikVillain and Kingofthering!

No Problem. To reiterate thought, like kingofthering said you can’t go wrong with any of Lenovo’s Thinkpad series, pricey but worth every penny.
