LASAL Leadership Program

After being accepted into the Honors College, I received information about applying to LASAL. From what I gathered at LSU's website, it's a leadership program that provides some interesting opportunities. Can anyone here tell me more about it?

Anyone? There must be someone with information.

I unfortunately don’t have much more information than the website does.

I really don’t think it’s worth it unless you are looking to run for office in the state of Louisiana. If you have a passion for the issues facing the state and working towards correcting them, then it is a wonderful program, but if it’s something you’re fairly indifferent towards, it won’t be of much value.

I know a kid from Maryland who is in it, and honestly I think he’s wasting his time.

That’s my two cents, but again I can’t help you as much as I’d like.

if you’re interested in a career in law, public service, or um… idk
it might be worthwhile. it doesn’t look prestigious and it doesn’t look like there are perks (except getting to live in the nice dorms on campus but you’ve still gotta pay for them)
if it looks like something you would enjoy doing, do it. but is there a good reason to do it outside of it being fun? probably not. you might meet some interesting folks though
