Last Minute APUSH Study Tips

Since the exam is on friday. What are you guys doing to prepare?

I’m finishing up my Princeton Review book, making flash cards of all the events/people that I don’t know perfectly, doing a practice multiple choice that our teacher gave us, and looking back at all the past FRQs and DBQs, to make sure that I have at least a few pieces of outside information for each of them. If I have time i’ll memorize the presidents in order and their political parties.

good luck to everyone taking the exam :]

Finishing up AMSCO, taking practice tests in my Princeton Review book, maybe I’ll pick up flashcards and I’m also using past AP exams for practice as well. And I’m reviewing key concepts and events and the stuff I’m weak on.

reading key chapters of crash course, crash course practice test, amsco practice test, doing practice tests my teacher gave us, barrons note cards.

Read remainig 600 pages of Amsco. go through the index cards and pray for the best.

Hmm, do you guys think I should cram the amsco book (Just need to re-read so its quicker, 150~ a day probably) or just read crash course?

Just read Crash Course. I will guarantee you a 3, more then likely a 4, and a 5 if you have a general understanding of material prior to reading it.

barron’s 500 flash cards during school and class and practice test x 4 from REA.

crash course all the way!!!
supplemented with rea/random group review things…but im sure it’ll go fine.
much more worried about physics next monday :(

^ Agree - at this point Crash Course is the best. Also looking at sample DBQ’s at AP Central.

Finishing up REA review… practice test here and there… I should probably take a look at those DBQ’s as well!

Hey anyone have any released ap exams for us history? I would gladly appreciate them, and may even be able to trade some of my own.
My email is danieldiner@gmail.com

in this last week…

my teacher stopped after the Great Depression

and ive been reading my study book, should I worry much about post Depression?

^ Egad yes, you would be missing out on like 20% of the material if you don’t study the more modern stuff.

I’m reading REA for the second time, defining all the key terms from each time period and listing the major trends. I’ll probably take AMSCO’s practice test and/or some from REA.

If you have time, you might want to consider outlining a preparation book. If you are going to try to outline AMSCO, it will take you freaking hours–it took me one hour to outline a chapter if I was internalizing as I went. like 40-45 minutes if I was rushing through. I think you could cut it to 30 minutes if you attempt to be selective about facts (I basically included everything in shorter phrasings).

kool thank you

crash course?
sounds good!

I basically took all the past MCs that I could find. I’ve been consistently getting 90%+, but frq &dbq, that’s another story…

What is “Crash Course”?

i got amendment flash cards, and a list of presidents and their party and accomplishments, i plan on memorizing that
