Last minute match/reach?

So... my matches at the moment are Transylvania University, Centre College, and Rhodes College. My reaches are really high at UChicago and UVA. I'm looking for something in the middle, preferably in the south or midwest (not REQUIRED, but preferably) and in a safer city than Memphis (Rhodes.. only thing keeping me from going there) and with a good econ program. History and art history are a plus too. I don't like partying, so a place without a ton of partying or at least some good alternatives for fun.

I'm looking for a college that fits this criteria and is higher than Centre/Transy and lower than UChicago and UVA. I'm pretty much looking for a Rhodes equivalent not in Memphis and they should use the Common App.

PM me if you’d like to talk about Memphis. You can look at the campus crime statistics and see that it is a very, very safe campus. The immediately surrounding neighborhoods are pretty good. The parts of Memphis that really drive up the crime rate for the city - North Memphis and South Memphis - are not near Rhodes. If you visit you should feel much better about the safety issue.

I would agree that Rhodes has a buffer community around it but also agree that Memphis regarding crime IS a consideration not to be brushed aside.

Perhaps Sewanee - The College of the South might be in the middle between a Centre and UVA, but I can’t speak for how good an alternative it is for fun unless you define what fun is for you.

Take a look at The Colleges That Change Lives website for options–I recall a bunch in the Midwest and South
