Can someone please explain how the Latin honors system work in Dartmouth?
Also, are transfer students eligible for honors?

If you’re majoring in Latin, your major is within the Classics department and you will major in “Classical Languages and Literature.”

The course requirements and description of the honors program can be found on the Office of the Registrar’s web site:

juenatics,

I think this is what you’re looking for:
Honors

The lowest cutoff from the previous three years for the top 5%, 15%, and 35% of a graduating class is used to designate cum laude, magna cum laude, and summa cum laude. Aside from the three-year criterion for valedictorian and salutatorian, I don’t see anything that would prevent a transfer student from graduating with Latin honors.

The only clause I saw relating to transfers was that a student had to attend for at least 3 years to become valedictorian or salutatorian.

Thanks for your replies.

And if I read that page correctly, incoming junior transfer students (of which I am one) are also eligible for Phi Beta Kappa society membership?
