I have to take a foreign language next semester. I don't think I'll be able to test into a 2000-level course. I took the online Spanish test and it was recommended that I take Continuing Spanish. There is no Latin test.

I think I like Latin better, but does anyone know which one is harder? Do Latin language courses include some cultural/historical components? That would probably sway me because I love learning about ancient Roman culture.

Also: I've taken Spanish I in the classroom, Spanish II online, and Latin I online, as well as some self-taught Latin that I think got me through all the conjugations of verbs and about three or four declensions of nouns. The self-taught one was a longer while ago, though.
