My interview experience was also like that. There were tech faults and I wasn’t able to understand his words clearly.
@yootyoot , @college1231 , @stanfordbound891, @Arbaaz I am too in your list.
MIT s2 Launch x members , looking forward to meet you all .
welp got waitlisted, oh well. A little dissapointed but for everyone that got in have fun!
Same here. 4/9 interview, no update. I felt I did pretty bad at interview so… just hoping.
@K2M5T2 haha yeah I also thought I did really bad. Are you going to email launch?
@whatislife12 No, I’m just going to keep waiting since 4/9 was the last interview day!
I have a very small hope I am holding onto.
I heard that persistence is an entrepreneurial trait and emailing them might show it, but I think it’s just gonna bother them in reality.
Admission statistics are out. 40% international. 38% female. Admit rate between 10 and 20 %
No email but logging into portal says “Regular - Denied.” Guess that’s it.
I knew I was not sufficient from the beginning; I definitely deserved to get rejected. But I got into interview with an incredible amount of luck, and terribly failed it. My main shortcoming was the lack of entrepreneurial experience, as identified by the interviewee; I did have some, but I could not think of it in the interview, and realized just after.
Somehow or somewhy, I feel like I would have gotten in if I pushed my experiences and talked about it. Still, I acknowledge I really did not deserve (by the activities I have done) to get in. But really… It’s bugging me so much. It really does feel too terrible.
I just wanted to talk it out somewhere. Sorry for wasting your time, haha
Man, all the regrets and thoughts and ideas really make me think one thing. I want to get in…
Hey man, haven’t posted here in like a month but logged in just to write this. It’s actually kind of funny now I think of it because a couple of days ago I was in the exact same boat as you; when I saw that I was waitlisted, my heart sunk and I knew it was more than likely over. (I guess it’s still better than rejected - but I expect them to only take around 20 off the waitlist and seeing just the amount of people in this thread alone that are on WL makes be believe that the chances are very low.) For the rest of that night I reflected back on all of the things I could’ve done better on - I thought maybe if I tried harder in the first semester of school or prepared longer for my interview things would’ve been different.
I don’t know what grade you’re in, but I’m in my junior year and probably won’t apply again next year. However, If you’re any younger than I am, you definitely have another shot at this next year and re-applicants are 2-3 times more likely to get accepted!
Anyway, I know it really sucks but we can’t change what’s already happened. Failure is such a big part of entrepreneurship and perhaps being rejected from LaunchX will teach us more than attending the program ever will. Take that however you want to, but it’s what I need to stay motivated and keep on going until I get there
Nonetheless, congrats to everyone that got in. You guys are gods.
I agree that Cindy is not a good interviewer. Wish she could improve next year on how to conduct a successful interview.
I think you guys have better chances of getting off the waitlist than me at least … I never even got an interview hahah yikes
@K2M5T2 I interviewed in March and did not get a decision on the 15th, I emailed them and they got back to me with a decision on the 16th. I’m not sure what happened, but emailing them helped me.
@screenname220 congrats and what campus are u in?
@shflorida looking forward to meeting all y’all at mit 2 too!
Hiiii, is there anybody admitted to the northwestern university one between June 29 and July 27? I’m just hoping to meet you guys…I’m an international student from Shanghai and I’m currently kinda nervous for the program cuz no one in my school applied for this summer school…
Hey, just got invited to join a facebook group for MIT session 2. The link doesn’t seem to be working tho. Anyone else having this problem?
just got admitted for MIT Session 1, off the waitlist!
Same, I got the email, but my account still says waitlist. Is that a technical delay or something?
nvm it updated
