Hey,
I'm going to be leaving for Exeter soon, and I just thought of this problem that others might probably have as well.
I am flying there internationally, so I won't be able to go home as often as students who live closer, meaning I won't be having 'go home along with dirty laundry' visits. That said, a lot of my shirts and some of my pants cannot be put through the dryer. They can be washed and if put in the dryer, only for 10 to 20 minutes then they are hung until they dry. Not to mention sweaters and cardigans, how do those get cleaned? At home right now, they are hand washed.
How do my requests work with the laundry service? Do they carry out personal requests?

All of the services provided by the E&R Laundry service were provided in detail in a packet that arrived at least 2 months ago. Did you get this packet? If not, you need to get this information. I think time is of the essence to sign up for laundry service. Also stated in the laundry information packet are other options - such as doing your own laundry in the dorm machines, or walking a short distance to a dry cleaner to take care of special pieces of clothing.
As far as I know, such specific washing/drying instructions will not be followed if you use E&R.

That is right. It will be a good idea to use that laundry service especailly for the first year. That company provides the laundry service to most of the BS in New England area such as St. Paul's school, Andover, Exeter, Groton,
St. Mark's school, Middlesex, Choate, Hotchkiss. I heard they provide a quality service.

thanks for your suggestions.
the clothing i mentioned cant really be called dry cleaning,
so i think i will probably have to find time to do my own laundry. that would be the only way to keep my clothes the way i want them..oh god :

there is a laundramat in town and i think each dorm has a washer and dryer. or you could use the tide packets and a sink :) you could bring a drying rack.
