Law School Applicant..... Or so I thought

With the lack of quality jobs around right now, I decided on pursuing law school admission for enrollment the fall after undergrad graduation. It has been a long road to get here though. It has taken me roughly seven years to finish my undergrad. I am now 25, but when I was in my late teens and early twenties I was failing classes left and right. I figured no big deal now b/c I have had a GPA >= 3.5 for the past two years. The LSAC just processed all my transcripts, and my jaw hit the floor when I saw the results. Every single F and D I ever received was calculated. I'm sure that is normal, I just never thought those grades would come back to haunt me so bad.

*My question: is there a way to have those courses that we failed in the past removed from the calculation of a cumulative GPA? Possibly from previous schools or after the class has been retaken?

I hate to give up on going to law school just because I wasn't serious about my education in my teens.

I’m afraid that unless the schools remove the original grade from the transcript altogether, LSAC will use it in calculating your GPA, even if you repeat the course or apply for “academic forgiveness.”
