How much would it help my admission to Harvard Law if both of my parents attended and graduated from the school? (Given that all my stats, etc. are within a certain competitive range and I attended a prestigious school for undergrad)

Anybody? I’m just curious about whether legacy plays the same role in grad school admissions as it does in undergrad…

It plays a role, but not as significant as the role it plays for undergraduate admissions. If your other credentials are comparative, then it’ll give you an edge over a similarly-credentialed competitor in the application process (assuming HLS won’t admit both).

It would also help if they were large donors, and had been actively involved in a positive way with the alumni association. Otherwise, there are a lot of alumni kids and relatives out there…
