Leaders Application?

Have your kids decided on Willamette, or are you waiting for the financial aid package to come in?

D1 did get a nice meri scholarship with acceptance on Christmas Eve but we got some bad $$ news right after the New Year so we’ll see the $$ looks like from everywhere she is accepted.

My daughter will be turning them down this week. She is in at two other schools which she would prefer, and got a scholarship weekend invitation from a 3rd school (so she is probably in). She is still waiting on her #1.

Good luck to all of you.

@ anotherparent – It’s great to narrow down choices so early! It sounds as if your daughter is just about set.

To everyone else, all the best with the college search!

D1 has been accepted everywhere (4 schools) that’s received her app so far(we’ll be waiting on two she just applied to and she still has 2 more to get out), with several nice merit scholarships and also an invite to a scholarship weekend.
She hasn’t really expressed any favorites recently with all this good news probably because she knows we have to see what the $$ looks like when finaid comes in the spring. She did love Willamette when we did a short “Oregon school tour” last Spring, and I was very, very impressed with our visit there.
Depending on $$ she may be needing to do an overnight at a few schools to help with final decision.

Hi Everyone,
My DD visite Willamette in the early fall of this year and liked the school very much–based on the tour and interview. She applied EA and was accepted with good merit $$. I just set up a visit with an overnight and classroom visit because she feels it has a good vibe for her. I am a bit concerned with the postings about ‘sorority scene" as she is completely opposed to that based on the "traditional’ vibe of many sororities (she is an “alternative” type) I will let everyone know her impresssions after her end of month visit.

poppymom, looking forward to you and your daughter’s “vibes” on overnight and class visit. Try to post in the Campus Vibe section also, very helpful to other families!
