i hope he goes to europe! haha can’t that guy, if i was Miami i wouldn’t want him.

This is outrageous. I have waited for this day for two years. All we (Nets) got is Travis Outlaw. We better get David Lee soon. Else I shall be ashamed to be a Nets fan.

As much as I hate to say it as a Chicagoan, I don’t think he’s gonna pick the Bulls. But if Lebron cites “not wanting to live in Jordan’s shadow” as the reason for rejecting Chicago, I’m going to laugh. Live in Jordan’s shadow? At the rate he’s going, he’s not gonna *touch * Kobe much less MJ. He’s always going to be subordinate to MJ where ever he is so being the 2nd best Bull of all time isn’t really anything to be ashamed of.

On nba.com it says he’s likely to pick Miami. Somewhere else it is rumored that NYK are front-runners for LeBron’s signature. No matter where he signs I can’t wait to see my Celtics make another stand against his team.

I think he’s gonna go to Miami.

And can we just take a second to appreciate my boy Kevin Durant aka Velvet Hoop. Instead of having this long, drawn-out recruitment process, Durant decides to re-sign with the Thunder early. No ego, no constant ‘Where’s he gonna go?’ debate. And to be honest, I think there’s a very good chance that in a year or two, Durant’s going to replace Kobe and it’s gonna become LeBron vs. Durant for who the best player in the league is.

If James goes to Miami, I do not think they will have a shot at the championship this year. Apart from Bosh, Wade and perhaps James, they would have Beasley and Chalmers. That’s it for now. They would have to go way over salary cap in order to get even a decent bench. Especially in this market, where players simply get overpaid.

Idk, I think Miami, with LeBron, would have a very good shot next year. If they get a few serviceable bench players who can eat up minutes and play solid defense, I think they’d be fine.

I think it’d be funny if at LeBrons press conference he has a row of hats in front of him high school-style and then picks up different hats until he chooses the right team.

Miami Heat, it makes so much sense now that Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh signed.

Chris Paul becomes a free agent in 2 years and when talks initially started about 2010 free agency back in 2008 it was stated Chris Paul would be interested in joining this “super team”.

Potential Team in 2 years:
PG - Chris Paul
SG - Dwyane Wade
SF - Chris Bosh
PF - LeBron James
C - they don’t need a 5th player :)

I can see them winning perhaps 60+ games in regular season. But playoffs require just a different depth level. They can’t have just anybody on the bench to come in, replace starters for 10 minutes and sit down again, because they will get crushed during these 10 minutes. But forget even about the bench for a while. Mario Chalmers will face a challenge similar to the one Rondo had in 2008. Rondo lived up to the expectations. Can he? I’m not so sure. Who will they have as the center? Get crushed on the boards and you are bound to lose. Even if LeBron signs with the Heat, they will still have a long way to go before winning anything.
There will be even more question marks. Chris Bosh has never played a meaningful role in a playoff series. Can he deliver when it matters? Won’t there be chemistry issue?

With these three guys (if LeBron picks Miami) they will have one of the most talented starting line-ups in the league. That’s it, there’s still a lot of work to be done.

I think hell will freeze over and pick the Clippers :). Let’s go Clippers!!

He is going to Miami, today he is in Miami partying, and today is also the day he announces his next team, what a coincidence. See the link.

Go Thunder! Maybe they’ll give him an unbeatable offer within the next 2 hours! :)

I hope he just stays in Cleveland. But I think it will be either Cleveland or Miami.

I knew it! Miami!

^the thunder didnt have the cap space, and durant might be just as good.

“He is going to Miami, today he is in Miami partying, and today is also the day he announces his next team, what a coincidence.”
ha thats not true at all, he was CT all day.

miami made sense, if they can learn to play together they are gonna be as good as the celtices when Red Auerbach was the coach if they could get as good of a coach. they are gonna be one of the greatest teams though

I feel bad for Cleveland

I think that’s going to be the biggest key in whether or not they can get a championship.

^yeah, but they played together pretty well in the olympics so i think they can. its just seems wierd that he’s gonna be in miami, which they always say is wade’s town, so i wonder how that would work out.

this thread needs to go away. seeing it at the top of the “New Posts” list just keeps reminding me of my shattered (if somewhat unrealistic) dream that LJ would choose the bulls.

How presumptuous to claim the Heat will make the Finals for the next 3 years. Three stars and 8 rookies/below average players fighting for the scraps of the salary cap doesn’t equate to a championship team in my book. Over the next three years, I think the Celtics, Bulls, and Magic will have just as much chance to win the east.

This spectacle was pretty embarssing too. I really hope the Bulls get Carmelo next year and we thrash the Heat.

Poor Cleveland…
