LeBron James sucks. Go Celtics! Go anyone in the East other than the Heat!

Just a quick thought. I know it is science-fiction, but wouldn’t it be great if Cleveland beat Miami in the playoffs and ultimately won the championship. I know it’s not going to happen, but wouldn’t it be great? Wouldn’t it make a great movie script?

And as I said earlier - for the time being Miami still can’t compete with Boston and Orlando, perhaps with Bulls. They do not even have a center on their roster. It’s still going to be a busy summer for Pat Riley.

Yeah, let’s go Celtics. I’m coming to Boston for college. Can’t wait to see Celtics-Lakers and Celtics-Heat games, should I be able to get tickets.

cross0328 - I knew all of that. I’m a Thunder fan and was kidding about my remark. :)

the celtics are old news. they’ve got maybe 2 more good years left, at least with the big 3. but their not the big 3 anymore, these 3 are gonna be much better

well come back to me when someone else has as many championship banners other than the Celtics or Lakers. The Celtics will be back someday.

yeah maybe, but this era is over. i gotta be honest though, i dont think how many banners a team has matters a whole. besides the celtics won like 10 of theirs in like 12 years, so it was basically one team that made them really great, specifically red auerbach and bill russell

My theory is that LeBron left Cleveland b/c of his mom’s affair w/ DELONTE WEST

^ haha. The thought of that would make me want to play in another country if I were LBJ

This rumor was actually true, at least according to Hall of Famer Calvin Murphy. I speculated that LeBron lost the series to the Celtics on purpose after game 3 also b/c of this.

They won’t be complete scrubs on the bench. And it’s not like they will need to go 10 minutes without any of the stars on the court. In theory they could each take 8 minutes off, one at a time, in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. More practically, they could play for stretches with only one of them on the court. Unless there’s an injury or foul trouble, they should never have to take all three off.

As for Rondo supposedly stepping up, he averaged 10 and 5 when the Celtics won their championship. Chalmers averaged the same as a rookie. Obviously the circumstances are different, but the Heat won’t need the Rondo that is now a star, just someone that’s solid and dependable.

glad dwyane wade finally is gettin some help…dont everyone jump on the bandwagon at once

lol I live in Cleveland. It’s been humorous reading everyone’s facebook statuses and the LeTraitor and “hey dude were having a bonfire at ____'s house, bring your lbj jersey”.

And I’m definitely in the minority in Cleveland by not hating Lebron. Sure when he said he was going South Beach, I was mad, ticked, felt betrayed, etc… But then I settled down a little bit, and realized he’s not a traitor, he gave us 7 good years and we couldn’t field a team to help him take the distance.

He owes Cleveland nothing. Granted I question his effort the last couple games of the playoffs, but that is kinda delonte’s fault lol.

Oh well. Die Hard Browns fan, we look to finally be turning things around. Here we go Brownies, here we go, woof woof!

Now that Miami has the big three, I wonder how many veterans decide to pull a Karl Malone in the hopes of getting a title.

They thought Mario Chalmers was so dependable that last season they benched him and played Arroyo instead. True, Chalmers still got decent minutes and for a second round draft pick I could support an argument that he is a steal. As you said, just as in Rondo’s case - they won’t expect nothing great from him. However, he does need to represent a certain level, step up from time to time and do not mess anything up.

As for Miami, no one has ever won a title in July. Right now they could not even play 5 on 5. As I read they traded Beasley to Minnesota for draft picks. Also, they are said to negotiate with Mike Miller. But they do not have a center. No 6th man. Not even a 12th man, for that matter. And they will have a hard time finding right guys for right price. Remember, they do not have Mid-Level Exception, because they were under the cap last year. I guess they will sign some players on veteran minimums. But these guys are on vet minimum for a reason.

Yes, that’s true, but one player, even a great one, is not enough. Unless Riley comes up with some more great signings and they are willing to go way over the cap, we could see something resembling a D-League team while two-three of their superstars rest. Anyway, it’ll be most interesting to see what Miami will do to upgrade their roster.

Who else thought Dan Gilbert’s statement about LeBron leaving was hilarious/unnecessary?

His decision clearly showed the difference between puny LeBron and His Airness.

Yeah, this is true especially since Lebron can run the point. The heat should just get some scrub who can shoot open 3s to play the 1, like jj redick.

Yeah, I think by making this decision, Lebron will never be in contention for ‘the greatest basketball player ever’. he’s on d. wade’s team now & even if he wins 69 championships or whatever, it will be because he’s on d. wade’s team.

Yea. It’s just like LeBron’s A-Rod. No matter how A-Rod’s making more money and arguably better, he’s still on Jeter’s team.

I am here.

It’s like this x1000. having an awesome player on your baseball team (especially if he’s not a pitcher) doesn’t take your team as far as having an awesome player on your basketball team.

lebron u sellout !
