Hi everyone both my parents both went to medical school at Yale so I was wondering if I am a legacy at yale because of this?

Yeah, legacy means that your parent/s have gone to the school.

So I'm a legacy at all yale schools, such as the undergraduate?

If your parents have a degree from Yale, your Yale legacy

Hm, well my parents misinformed me they actually both did residency at yale. My mom did residency and a fellowship at yale, so I'm not really sure if they got degrees, they got something lol. With that new information do you still think I am a legacy?

If your parents applied to yale and graduated, you are legacy.

So much misinformation! Why do kids post when they really don't know?

While some schools do consider grad school grad's kid's legacies, many do not. Check with Yale. A residency is highly unlikely to make you a legacy.

What was the misinformation in my posts? If your parents graduated Yale, your legacy. How is that misinformation?
