True, Hazmat. I wasn't saying that the money didn't help those of top stat, but I was speaking independent of that in terms of admission based on the applicant's credentials.

What you gotta ask yourself is.......if you produce a legacy heir....would you give $$$ and pay for your own? Are you willing to pay to keep the name of your alma mater strong??

Well to be honest I'd rather raise a damn smart child who could get admitted without external factors like money. That, more than anything, would "keep the name strong" for me.

Let me rephrase the question.....would you if capable, pay for someone other than your own legacy to attend Penn? It may be too early to ask you this for I know you have not yet had the experience. I definitely plan to pay for "other" to attend my previous school and Penn....it has been an amazing experience for me at both institutions and i hope to allow someone who could not otherwise attend because of funding to have their 4 years. I believe strongly in giving the opportunity forward.

Well I can't speak for that at the moment as my funding issue is still up in the air, but if I had the money I would not mind paying for another as long as that money was supporting people of merit, that's all.

My goal right now is to get wealthy enough to buy a house and donate it to the band... free housing would be nice, wouldn't it?

Legendofmax.....you can designate your contributions as you wish. Some folks designate very specifically. Good luck with your funding.....I am sure this will all work out.

I hope so as well. I think it'll be alright.

muppetcoat: Yeah that would be pretty cool, hehe. I love the idea of donating... I'd need the money first of course :P
