This is one part that concerns me. Why would the “family contribution” go up because of this dispute?

I’m guessing that his mom has told him that the dispute could cause this issue.

Unfortunately, within the past two months, my mother had been blocked from filing her taxes due to legal issues from her small business which she founded with her (now ex) boyfriend two years ago.

How does someone get blocked from filing taxes? Would that be a court order? Why would there be such a court order?

What does that mean: “current agreement of ownership”? Was the BF listed as owner and was she listed as an employee?

Sounds like the exBF has cheated some customers.

What kind of business is this?
