Legislation to allow 529 funds to be used for computers

Is anyone following the recent bill allowing the use of 529 money for computers? I wonder about it's chances. Has anyone used their 529 for a computer and been audited? A computer may not be explicitly required at a university, but if teachers require online books/readings that seems pretty required to me! Here's an article about the bill: http://www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/paying-for-college/articles/2014/05/07/what-college-savers-should-know-about-529-plan-legislation

Congress is in complete gridlock. it is a group of monkeys tossing excrement at each other. Even the common sense things aren’t passing. Computers were an eligible expense for every student for a couple years, but that provision expired.
