I checked my calendar from last year. PreLUsion sign up started on MAY 12, 2010. As mentioned here, OAP fills up very quickly - I think it was full in a few days. DS loved every minute of it.

I can’t wait to visit this weekend. From NY, College of Arts and Sciences for Biology :)

Has everyone seen the Lehigh Lipdub on Youtube?

It was rated on of the best lipdub’s by The Huffington Post last year. It’s a great tour of the school!

They are filming this year’s version on Sunday!

yes, Lehigh Lipdub is certainly the best. I had seen it about a few months earlier of applying EDI and I instantly fell in love with the college.

Daughter called home this weekend while she was visiting Lehigh. She said, “Mail my deposit!” She looks forward to meeting her future friends from the class of 2015.

My daughter bought out the bookstore on Lehigh merchandise :)

does anybody know if we can sign up for housing yet?

I emailed housing last week, and they replied:

I’ve been sitting on the side lines reading all the posts.
Thank you for sharing information about Lehigh.
Son has chosen Lehigh. Yahoo!
Attended Lehigh Life Days and asked about choice housing.
Tour guide said it is off campus.
I questioned him saying I heard it was in Dravo.
He said no.
Does anyone know if this is true?
Copaman and others have mentioned Dravo.
Thank you for your reply.

BTW, mumof2boyz- you are a welcome wealth of information!

FYI- last years housing packet can be viewed through the Lehigh portal.
If you have made your commitment payment, the portal has a tab listed as FYS (First Year Student).
There is a monthly check list of things to come.
If you click on Housing, a pdf is available with detailed info.

SOCALhome - congratulations on your son’s decision! I am sure he will love it - what’s his intended major??

As for your question - For Freshman, CHOICE is most definitely in DRAVO. For older students, it is at Broadhead, which is on the edge of the campus.

Hello mumof2boyz!! Thank you again for sharing your experiences!! It is so appreciated!
Accepted into Arts and Sciences, thinking pre-med.

Good to know about Dravo and Choice.
When son heard Choice was off campus, he was not interested.
Thank you for the info!!

Another question-
son has played water polo for 6 years and wants to try something new.
Do you or anyone else know how it works for Men’s Rowing (or crew).
It is listed as a Varsity Club Sport. What does that mean?
Do they recruit?
Thank you again!!

Son received the Class of 2015, First Year Welcome Kit yesterday in the mail.
Lehigh sure has their act together with making the students feel welcomed and informed!

PreLUsion sign up’s are open today.
Limited spots available

Hi all, I’m an alumna of the Global Citizenship (GC) Program at Lehigh. They’re looking for students! The application is due June 1.

It’s a four-year certificate program. 20-25 students (out of about 45 applicants) are admitted each year. Students in the program participate in:
* a series of globally-focused academic and co-curricular opportunities (classes, lectures, day trips, community service, and more)
* a 10-12 day group study abroad experience during sophomore year winter break that is subsidized by a Lehigh-sponsored scholarship (covering airfare, room, board, and all program activities)
* a wide array of course offerings that compliments a student’s interests
* a required second study abroad experience in a country chosen by the student (during the semester or the summer; please note: this second study abroad is not covered by a scholarship)
* a program that is cross-college, multi-disciplinary, and compatible with any major and minor
* a certificate awarded on your transcripts upon completion of the program

Sophomores in the program travel together on a 10-12 day study abroad trip, immersing themselves completely into a foreign culture through community service projects, educational activities, lectures with local experts, and visits to historic landmarks. For example, the students on the 2011 trip to China volunteered at a school for migrant workers’ children, did a home-stay with Shanghainese families, visited a multinational factory, discussed environmental issues with local entrepreneurs, rode the super-fast Maglev train, and visited the China pavilion at the World Fair and the Pudong business district. The entering cohort will travel to… Malaysia in January 2013 (All expenses are covered by Lehigh, with the students contributing only $500 dollars towards the trip).

The application deadline is June 1. See the website for more details: [Lehigh University Global Citizenship](http://www.lehigh.edu/~ingc)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/lehigh-university/1234204-classes-cancelled-monday-10-31-11-a.html#post13389933

Good luck saltnpeppa!

Yes, trinitian does go to Lehigh, he is probably pretty busy right now though as it is Lehigh -Laf weekend! I am sure he will be back to the boards once the excitement of this big rivalry weekend is over.

@saltnpeppa: yes, i do go to Lehigh. PM me if you have any question about Lehigh or just create/post in relevant threads :)

@mumof2boyz: Lehigh-Laf weekend, i must say, was crazy. It was just amazing and funny to see students getting involved in various activities during the Lehigh-Laf week. Bed races, marching bands in class and parties, it was a crazy week.
The Marching Band 97 entered my calc class when our professor was solving a problem and got the answer to be 9/2. However, the Marching Band’s hooting to get a 97 answer made him cross his original answer and write 97 as the answer on the blackboard (he did change the answer after they were gone.) They played inside the class for like two minutes.

And yes ofcourse, the football game was great. The Hawks won again!
poor Lafayette :D
