lehigh just recieved my app

<p>Hey, Lehigh recieved my app for the BS/MD program with Drexel med. How long does it generally take for them to start calling for interviews (the deadline was nov 15th for the app). And a doctor that I did research with is a graduate of Drexel Med school (i think he was the chief of the board of directors there). He wrote a letter of rec for me and while I know this will be very useful, will it be enough to score some major points at the med school? I think I have decent enough stats:</p>

<p>1520 old sat (760 M 760 V)
4.0 gpa, top 5%
research work, varsity tennis, violin, etc</p>

<p>The only problem is that my essay was not great. I'm not saying that it was bad, it was perfectly coherent, etc, but it was not as good as some other peoples. Will the interview take importance over the essay because I know I will prep for this really well. Thx.</p>

<p>Interview is in my opinion, probably going to be more important than essays.</p>

<p>you won't get an interview call until late january/ early february. i remember last year they didn't even compile my entire folder for the application until mid- December before they could start reviewing it. but ya, your essays and stats an whatever are good until the interview, after that they don't matter as much since the interview weighs more heavily.</p>
