Same message for me. BTW i was denied today from Lafayette (with a 2080 SAT and being told off the record that i would be accepted)
Looks like Lehigh isn’t releasing today
Someone asked if they decisions were being released today and they said no, they’re just having portal issues.
Has anyone called to ask if decisions were being released today!? Also, I wouldn’t count out decisions being released tonight still, even though it’s late, because I received a decision from a school at 11 last night.
For ED2 this year, they got the email we did yesterday the 15h, and decisions were posted the 16th
Do you know what time?
It was about 4:40 EDT, so I would say it’s not today
It says on their twitter, not today.
hello guys!
by 04:40 you don’t mean early morning do you?
portal is back up, but still no decision update…
@eyeofthegeiger : I’m waiting for decision from Lafayette too, and I am super nervous. I think Lafayette will reject me anyway so good luck to both of us with Lehigh :).
Did anyone see the financial aid status? Are the FA and admission decision independent? Although the admission decisions were not out yet, the FA is listed on the login site. After login click the ‘Banner’ at the top right (first icon). you may find the FA award. Does it indicate admission?
I didn’t find a FA award
@F1crazy aren’t the FA and Admissions departments completely separate? I know when I applied to Cornell I had a FA award before decisions were released and then got rejected (ED).
@BPearlman97 I reckon it is true for most of Ivy and need-blind colleges. I am wondering, is it true for Lehigh? can anyone knowledgeable comment on this?
Did anyone get a financial aid award on the LEWIS?
The LEWIS section is loaded, however no specific award noted
I have found that need-blind schools are just, that but schools that aren’t do factor in financial aid (most of the time). If kid A has the same stats as kid B but kid A needs 35k in aid and kid B needs 0k in aid - welcome kid B
I think the more “elite” a school, overall, the more “need blind” they can afford to be because they have the endowment. I remember reading that the average student at Yale pays 15K per year. So at a school like Yale and the other super super elite schools I think the need issue is less of a factor. But there are really selective schools that are NOT need blind and admit it. Wash U and Tufts admit to not being need blind and I give them credit for being honest about that.
But overall, I agree with the sentiment that even if a school claims to be need blind, at some point they have to consider need or they would not be able to survive as a university. Not sure where Lehigh falls on this spectrum.
I loaded the LEWIS. But I did not receive any awards I don’t think. They better post decisions soon
