<p>are you doing common app or boston university's own application? if it's their own, are you talking about the one where you have essay choice A or B?</p>

<p>i just handwrote mine, like a paragraph, just barely filling in the lines they provided. i don't think this is a major part of the app considering it's tiny size, so i wouldn't worry about it too much. best of luck!!!!</p>
<p>they don't give u that much room.. barely enough for half a page.. it's short and painless (ish)</p>
<p>man, you're right, I wrote a 350 word essay and now I'm cutting it down to like 150 words, gr..</p>
<p>The text box on the common app gives you 1250 characters (including spaces).</p>
<p>mine's 200 words</p>
