To those who have previously gotten into SUMaC, could you please tell me how many pages of solutions you wrote? I have written 60 page for 6 questions (though there are lots of diagrams and my handwriting is fairly large). Is that too much?
Also, do you know perhaps why there are only 6 questions this time around? Maybe they experienced a fall in applications last year? If so, how many questions do you think one must get right now? I believe that, at the very worst, I would have solved all questions except one particular case for one particular part of a problem, with only one part being what I’d call “shady” .
Last year I wrote 16 pages for 9 questions, but my friend (who also got in) wrote 56, so I really don’t think it matters as long as you write enough to support your answers. However, you might want to think about looking through your work and seeing if some of it is redundant or can be solved using a more efficient method. Hope this helps!
