<p>Numbers as in scores? I wouldn't think that because when you apply there like 80% of the applicants are all around the same general quantile in their school, so that's why they might appear to look at ECs more.</p>

<p>i heard this about PENN but not cornell or princeton. i did hear that princeton really looked at the numbers, i heard penn was a lot more about ECs and personality reflected in teachers recs....but hey. that is only through the grapevine. but i agree with lollerpants- sometimesthat is all you can do when you have so many students of the same caliber applying to your school. </p>
