I realize this site is mainly for people to ask about ivy league schools and that in comparison I seem definitely average, but I wouldn't mind getting some analysis on whether or not I can get into the schools I'm looking at. Some stats.
top 35% in a highly competitive school in MN. I've taken a few AP classes, chemistry, stats, english, and lit will be added soon. I've only done honors classes otherwise where offered. Unfortunately, my sophomore year, for the first half I messed up pretty badly and dive-bombed my GPA to a 3.1, but now after 6 quarters, its back up to a 3.4, which still isnt that strong. In my essays I plan to recognize the upward trend in my grades and ask or a recaculated GPA from the time I got serious on and then Id have a 3.74. by graduation Ill have a 3.5. I have an ACT of 29, 25 in eng, 33 in math, 26 in sci, and 32 in reading. also an 11 in writing. I do competitive speech and have been incredibly successful in the hardest district in the country and have been doing that for four years and will be captain, also, I do policy debate, as well as theater. I also volunteer for a breast cancer awareness group, and have held numerous jobs for the last two years. so to sum it up.....

GPA: 3.4
ACT:29
EC -breast cancer awareness
- Speech (4 years+ captain)
- Debate (2 years)
- Theater (2 years)
- held numerous jobs.
