Letter of Rec

Hey everyone!

I applied to school quite a while ago and my applications are due on the 1st of December. I secured my letter of recs back in August and everyone has completed them except one prof. I've sent her "notification" letters via the service, but she's not put up the rec. I get a little anal about deadlines, so I get very nervous waiting on people who wait until the last minute.

With next week being Thanksgiving, what would be an appropriate time to shoot her an e-mail and remind her? I sent her a notification through the system a week ago and I don't want to bombard her, especially since I know she must be busy with her own research and teaching.

Do it AFTER Thanksgiving. It’s always understandable if professors don’t send their LORs in on time. Professors give each other breaks, but not for applicants! It’s also out of your control and they’ll take it into consideration. As long 2 are in at minimum, you don’t have much to worry about at this point.
