<p>I know that every school is different, some want none, some want a lot, but what number seems to be typical? I know usually private, selective require more, but would you say the norm is 2 teachers and your GC, for a total of three. </p>

the most selective colleges require that you have 2 teacher recs and then one from your counselor</p>
<p>you can send in other recs if you want to. but make sure they show something completely different about you. otherwise it is just looked at as obsessive</p>
<p>If i were sending in more than just those I wouldnt send in one from another teacher. it would be from a boss at a job or a volunteering thing. or a coach/</p>
