I have asked my professor to write me a letter of recommendation to help me transfer. However, I am worried that I will not be accepted to any colleges that I want to transfer to due to bad grades. If I give my professor a stamped envelope with my home address, can I make copies of the letter and mail them to the colleges myself? If not, will sending in a letter of recommendation be on my file if I am rejected for next fall and apply again the following year?

please help me

Here are the instructions from the CA Instructor Evaluation form:

For fr admissions, the majority of the schools I’ve encountered don’t hold onto past applications A few schools held on to materials, and others hold on to them if the student requests them to do so in the spring immediately after decisions. So, whether or not a college holds on to your application materials after decisions are made varies with the school.

If I tell my professor to write one letter to my house, can I make copies of it and send them to different schools so I don’t have to worry about it. Is this allowed or do professors have to send letters themselves?

Professors have to send them. The school you apply to will see your address on the return address. How low are your grades? The most important thing in transferring is your college GPA…

If you’re using the common app, isn’t it all online?

^No, not for transfers.

^^
Whoa, why not.

There are no forms for letters of recommendation for the schools that I’m interested in transferring in. Because my GPA is low, I do not think that I will be able to transfer for next fall. Can I tell my professor to mail me a letter of recommendation and I can make copies of it to send to the schools?

If there aren’t forms on the commonapp for recommendations then the schools do not want them. If they do want recs you have to use their forms and have the teachers send them.

There is no common app for recommendations, but they still want to see a letter. Can I send it myself?

any more help

anyone else care to comment
