I have already spent the entirety of my junior year narrowing down my list of colleges that I would like to go to. My top two colleges that I have a great chance of getting into require a "character/spiritual" letter of recommendation from a pastor since these are private, Christian universities. I rarely go to church so I am unable to get a letter of recommendation but I really want to go to one of these schools to expand my faith. What should I do?

Do you have a Christian teacher or leader of a group you belong to?

No, I was thinking about having my supervisor doing one but idk.

are there any adults that know you relatively well who are strong Christians? maybe they could write your letter? you could also try emailing the schools and asking about this. just phrase it carefully. like “I haven’t attended church often for the past few years, but I’m hoping to change that and expand my faith with the opportunities that college name provides” and see what they say about your character rec

Thank you! That actually helps a lot!
