Letters of Recommendation

Unfortunately I'm moving for my final year of HS to another state. I am trying to get letters of recommendation from the teachers I knew in my old HS, but since I'm unfamilliar with the process I would appreciate some help. I want to apply to Harvard, Yale, MIT, Caltech, UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, UCLA, Princeton, Cornell, Stanford. I believe only a few of these accept the common ap. How should I ask my teachers for letters of recommendation? I know I should ask them all to fill out the common ap form. But what about the universities which don't accept the common ap? I probably want to apply online, so how do I get the proper forms that the teachers mail in? The 2006 aps aren't available yet. Any suggestions or clarity anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. I am completely unfamilliar with the application process.

You made the exact same thread before...

BTW, how's that cold fusion goin'?

All the colleges who dont use the Common Application would require recommendations on the school's stationary, so tell your old teachers to write about 5 copies. (thats if u're applying by mail) Your teachers will go nuts if you ask them for 5 copies online (believe me I know)!!! And the UCs may put u in a disadvantage because of their own formula stuff!

And by the way arent u exaggerating about ur little device??

your folks are bastards (pardon) for forcing you to move for your last year of highschool.

I'm not exaggerating. I would, however, prefer not to bring it up in this thread because I'm certain people won't answer this thread's question.

you can mail, e-mail, or call your old teachers, send them the recommendation form for you, and have them mail it to the school

or ask your teachers to mail it directly to you by September, so that you can put it with your application.
