Letters of Recommendations for Law

Hello, I am currently a UCLA senior and will be applying to law school in two years (in other words I will be starting in the Fall of 2014. However, I have a few professors here I want to get LOR's from. I heard that you have to ask your LOR's to send to the LSAC website? Is that true? I was going to receive hard copies in all the Law Schools I want to apply to. Could anyone tell me exactly how the LOR process works for law school? Is it true the people who write my LOR's need to submit it to LSAC, and LSAC sends it to whichever schools I apply to? If that is true, will I be able to select which LOR's I want on LSAC and which I do not?

If this is not true, what should I do? I will not be applying for law school until a year later. Should I save my LOR's now? What is your recommendation?

Thank you!

Yes. You must down load the recommendation from from the LSDAS site, which must be mailed with the recommendations by the person(s) writing them. At some schools you can set up a credentials file through the career services office and they will send the letters to the LSAC for you. It looks like your school offers this service

you can talk to them to ask about the law school process

Thank you so much!

So what should I ask the person writing my letter? I won’t need a hard-copy or digital copy from them correct? All they need to do is send it to the LSAC website?
