What are the differences in studying Undergraduate Computer Science from a liberal arts college (like Williams or Harvey Mudd) and getting it from the college of L&S from somewhere like Purdue or UIUC, etc?
Everything you ask is very dependent on the specific school and department. Generalizations based on your examples will mislead.
I want to know about the ones I mentioned in the question.
You’ll get more personalized attention and an emphasis on teaching at the liberal arts colleges. The larger schools will give you a wider selection of classes.
There are exceptions. HM is part of a consortium with several top LACs and a dedicated science center. YOu’d have a wide selection of classes there akin to a large university.
@Dustyfeathers, though I doubt that the CS catalog at the other Claremonts would be more extensive than what you find at HMC.
