Liberal Arts Colleges for the Sciences?

Wait… we have been around the block with you before on picking colleges.

What happened to all the colleges you applied to in December? Your HS GPA is something like a 2.5, and your last SAT was a 2060. You aren’t getting into any of the colleges in your initial post here, nor many of the others suggested. Stop chasing schools like Pomona, CMC, Mudd, etc.

I won’t be applying to these colleges this year. I was interested for transfer (more, curious), please disregard.
My grade you posted was irrelevant to the original question: Which LAC’s excel in the sciences? Completely unnecessary, that thread could be useful for students with similar GPA’s, this however is entirely out the question.
@intparent
@usualhopeful

He posted your stats because without them, people will continue to give unrealistic suggestions. You had already posted them yourself.

Okay.

How about if you get a year of successful college grades under your belt before worrying about transferring? You are running in circles. Prove yourself in the college classroom.

Transfer acceptance rates are lower than freshman admission rates at top colleges. Mudd, for example, accepted 7 of 110 transfer applicants last year. Pomona - 13 of 334. Many colleges still want your SAT, so if it isn’t in range for the freshman class, that is still a problem. Some will still want to see your HS transcript, too (CMC, for example).

Thank you everyone so much for the recommendations, I’ll look into them. Fortunately, I received heaps of colleges and the few more qualified students among the current 500 views may have benefited more from this thread than I have. Again, thanks so much for your suggestions.

@intparent The user above messaged me with the same response and I intend to follow both of your suggestions. My apologies, I am always getting ahead of myself and I’m a bit worried due to the transcript which is why this thread was created. If you can do me the favor and answer my question in the 3rd most recent thread, that would be very appreciated! Also, thanks for posting!

I don’t want to backtrack to try to understand what question you mean. Can you please clarfy here?
