Hey guys whats up, i have a quick noob question about what courses to take before heading to med school. I understand that you dont have to be a science major and can pick and major you want but as long as you take the pre med courses such as bio, chem, etc. Right now im in a community college, so can i take liberal arts then transfer to a university and then finish up the pre med courses. And then take mcat. Will it be a good ideal to take liberal arts?

Since no one is guaranteed admissions to medical school, you should take a major that you enjoy, and think about your employment options from that major.

Karlthedog has been floating the idea - confirmed by credible sources on his end - that some med schools will not accept classes taken at a community college.

If he's right - and he sounds like he knows what he's talking about - then you should work to finish your premed classes are your four-year, and take something else in the meanwhile.
