Life at BC

Hey guys! I am a junior girl from Long Island, NY in all AP/IB courses. I’ve looked into BC before and really loved it, but I just have some questions:

1-what are the people like? Smart? Nice? Fun? Attractive?
2-what is the social/nightlife like for fresh/soph years? I heard the BCPD are extremely strict and that it makes it hard to have good parties or until youre 21. Is this true? If so, is nightlife dead until you’re an upperclassman? What are some other things that people do for fun that don’t involve alcohol, for instance in the great city of Boston?
3-how is the premed program at BC? I know that it is known for its business program, but is the premed program weak/strong? Are there a lot of premed students?
4-what is dorm life like? Are they nice? Social?
5-are the classes small? Are the professors accessable?
So sorry for drilling you guys with all the questions, any responses from current students is much appreciated. Thanks so much!

I’m a dad so I am not qualified to answer most of your questions but I do have a daughter at BC who is a senior biology/pre-med major. She’s found the BC biology program to be “solid” - all the standard courses, properly taught. She hasn’t found BC very helpful in finding field related summer jobs or internships, you’re more or less on your own. As at probably most schools the pre-meds can be highly motivated and serious students. My daughter doesn’t live with other biology/pre-meds so they keep things fun. BC is a big sports school so those games serve as a nice catalyst for its social scene. BC is also fairly homogeneous. Many students come from the same social class & background which is comfortable for some students and disappointing for others.

Google college powler guys&girls, I believe this is how you spell it, and click on the first link. It will answer all of your questions. The answer are provided by students.
