Likelihood of being accepted into Vassar:

Currently I am close to completing my Junior year in high school and I have decided recently that I would really like to attend Vassar. A class this semester has been giving me troubles this semester and although I will pass it I am very concerned about the grade I will receive in it. I was wondering, in general, what the chances of me being accepted into the university are. I have listed below most things I am doing/have done/plan to do: I go to an "early college" school which allows me to take all of my required high school courses at the college (I live in Pueblo, Colorado so I take all of my classes at Colorado State University- Pueblo).

GPA: 4.4, as of now I should finish within the top 4% of a class of roughly 100.

I also joined the track team this semester but due to my schedule I may have to postpone doing that until next semester.

I wrote this fairly quick so I may have missed a thing or two but for the most part its an accurate sum of what I've done and am doing. I am just curious what I should be doing/continue doing/quit doing in order to get into my top choice school which is Vassar.

I think this belongs in the “What are my Chances” section, but to answer your question, I would need to know more about this program wherein most of your HS classes are taken at the University… on its face that sound impressive, but I don’t want to assume.

I’d give you a better than 50% chance for Vassar. High GPA, high rank, work throughout high school, great ECs, and you seem to have a good personality.

Oh I’m sorry- I’m pretty new here! And the program is that I take University classes (not dumbed down or anything- it as if I am actually graduated from high school and in college). This earns me dual-credits, credits that count towards college and high school at the same time. This is its site: [Colorado State University-Pueblo](http://colostate-pueblo.edu/)

Is the school newsletter basically like the school newspaper? If so, colleges will be pretty shocked that a school wouldn’t already have a school newspaper by the time you arrived to HS unless its a new (and by new i mean VERY new) HS.

The school I attend is fairly new! Its first year was 2004. And the school newsletter is a weekly publication which features all the weekly announcements and important events coming up–I am currently working on getting the actual school newspaper functioning.

I think that you have really strong stats. I compared you to the stats here: [■■■■■■■■■■■■■ - Vassar College](http://■■■■■■■■■■■■■.com/college.php?college=170#cstats) and it seems like you have a good chance.
