Did they say that all of the emails were an acceptance? Or might some of the people who got them be future rejections?

Ah, too late. I just told all of facebook. :P

Did they say that all of the emails were an acceptance? Or might some of the people who got them be future rejections?

Ah, too late. I just told all of facebook. :P

yes its 2: 24 now lol…

I wonder if this means I was accepted at Gallatin . . .

And, yes, I called:
“Hi, I just got an email–”
“Was it something about…”
“Travel plans?”
“Yes. Congrats, this means you’ve been accepted!”

@dreamupsided0wn i don’t think so. i hope not. i told everyone too ;p

@dreamupsided0wn
Hahaha, I just did the same thing.

Congratulations everyone!!! So excited haha I can’t believe it :D

Guys, see my above conversation. ANYONE who received the email has been ACCEPTED. They didn’t ask for my name, nada.

CONGRATULATIONS!

SAME. that is a universal phenomenon, putting up college acceptances

no email here Congrats to everyone!

That is so confusing. Are you sure?

Also, what about financial aid packages?

this is weird…i hope not everyone who’s accepted got it else that really kills those of us who didn’t get this one email…

@Stupefy
This time it was ALL CAPS with a million exclamation points!!!
There’s a huge difference between:
“I got into Siena!” and “I GOT INTO NYU!!! =]”
hahaha

Which phone number are you guys calling to? Because I keep trying to phone the office of undergraduate admissions and they say they’re closed…

wow, how great. so if we didn’t get one we are rejected? this is a really lameeee way of releasing decisions. i would much rather get a decision through a letter.

ACCEPTED! YAY!

But for all those who haven’t got the email, I called and they told me they’re coming out in waves so keep your hopes up :)

@poncem
Admissions closes at 5:00pm EST. It is 5:08 here on the east coast.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. i am so happy right now! i read the email and was like “what is this… are they… i don’t… ARE THEY SAYING WHAT I THINK THEY’RE SAYING???” and ran to check cc :D

it’s obviously exciting for those who received the email, but for those who haven’t, i wouldn’t lose hope! i doubt they sent it to ALL accepted students, and i’m sure they didn’t for those who live close (like Gorgy125) because it’s just so people can make travel plans without 1 week notice. EITHER WAY, yay for everyone who got it and good luck for everyone who didn’t! :D

The official Admissions Decisions arrive in April 1st so you never know. This is simply saying that those who got the email were accepted and not that those who didn’t aren’t accepted. Just stay positive, it may not be all accepted individuals.

i live about 20 min. from the school, and got one. i think it’s more random than anything. or maybe in order of strength of applicant? probably random.

Did everyone who received an email get it at the same time? I got in Early Decision, but I was really hoping that my friend who applied RD would get in too, and she hasn’t received an email yet. I’m HOPING that it doesn’t means she’s rejected. :(
