Likely letters?

<p>What schools send likely letters? From CC I know that Wellesley, Yale, and Stanford do. I'm interested in MIT, Yale, Wellesley, Barnard, Rutgers, BU, NEU, UMass (I think that's it).
Do any of these schools send them(besides the ones I mentioned)? </p>

<p>Do schools only send likelys? I know Wellesley sends likely, possible, and unlikelys.
I've heard they send likelys to their top applicants who they know will be wanted at other schools to let them know that they are wanted before actual decisions come out. </p>

<p>I wouldn’t even be concerned about it. The date that the Ivies stop sending them is Mar 15 and the majority of admitees never receive a single one.</p>

<p>The Ivies and top LACs use them. Plus a smattering here and there.</p>

<p>I’m not overly concerned, just curious. And yeah, Yale only sends 100 but there are 2000 in the incoming class</p>

<p>Yale sends out about 200-300 Likely Letters per year. About 100 of these go to non-athletes.</p>
