I would also like to point out that there are certain big name schools out there that do not give a darn about early decision committments...one big name on the west coast has been known in the past to ignore a student's ED committment to another school and let them enroll; there are others as well who will do the same.</p>

<p>There's a thread on the Stanford forum that goes into more details about the likely letters that they've sent out. One poster mentions that it also contained info on his financial aid package. </p>
