No, Fordham doesn’t offer some of the “fun” electives you’ll find at many other colleges and universities. My son had room for a couple of extra classes for the spring and was looking for something less academic and more hands on and fun. After hearing friends at other schools talk about taking weight training, ceramics, and avant-garde films, he thought he could find something similar that would interest him and keep him at full time status so that he wouldn’t risk losing housing. The closest thing that he could find to this was photography, but that didn’t really interest him.

I remember being in the same situation my senior year and even at a well respected liberal arts college I was able to take printmaking to fill an open spot in my schedule.

I don’t think that this is really a negative though, when people graduate form Fordham their transcript will be full of serious and demanding courses with no fluff to be found.
