I just got accepted into the Lincoln Center campus today (yay!) and I know that all of the dance, theater kids go there, but are there also lots of kids outside of that clique? And does the campus still provide activities like movie nights or retreats even though you have the city right there for entertainment? I really like the idea of being in the middle of the city and having a smaller campus, but could anyone tell me what the general atmosphere/vibe is like on campus and in the dorms? Is it very close knit or does everyone just kind of do their own thing?
Lincoln Center has the business school and media arts too, among other things. All freshman live in same dorm, an amazing high-rise. Kids seemed to love it there when my D and I visited in the fall. It is a very small campus right in the middle of the city, so you should definitely visit to get a sense of whether you like it. Congrats!
I read from some previous post says that no one does anything social except the bar scene. Which makes me really upset. I’m serious about my study and I don’t party or drink or anything.
@Fiona1997 , I have not found that true at all. It’s true that LC has less campus events than most other schools because well, it barely has a campus, but plenty of people hang out in their rooms, go out to the city for whatever (museums, walking, and yes bars) and a lot of people do activities in the school through clubs and the like.
I’ve never been inside a bar and I’ve been happy here!
