I'm having a hard time deciding if I should switch my major. I was recently admitted into a Linguistics B.A. program, and declared a minor in computer science.. I'm interested specifically in the field of computational linguistics, and plan to go on to graduate school (probably for computer science). However, I'm not sure my chances of getting into a graduate program for CS will be that great with a B.A. in Linguistics. Most schools I've looked into so far say they prefer students who at least studied hard science, if not CS, as an undergrad.

I'm thinking of switching to a CS major just to be safe. But if I do that, I won't get the linguistics background.

I'm really not sure how to proceed...I would love any insight or advice!
