Linguistics

I am a third-year student at UC Berkeley majoring in Linguistics and minoring in English. What unique post-undergraduate options does Linguistics offer (besides, of course, Linguistics graduate school)? How do employers view this major? For those who majored or know someone who majored in Linguistics or both: what did you do after graduation, and what are you doing now?

Are you focusing on any specific concentration?

Berkeley doesn't offer any specific concentrations, though I have studied other languages (Spanish, German, Latin).

Oh. I'm a prospective Linguistics major (Not even in college yet so I'm sorry I can't give you any great info) and I was thinking of either getting into NLP and artificial intelligence (Which would require a special interest in computational) or joining the Foreign Service. What do you want to do?
