Kiwi_Nights, I agree. I don’t see the reason to overload on AP classes. Won’t most college be impressed with 4? This reminds me of people who whine and fret over how hard APs are then sign up for more the next year. But if you can handle them, I guess there’s no harm in taking so many.

Why would I care so much about what impresses colleges? Why would taking a schedule of courses I enjoy suck the fun out of learning? Maybe some of us just actually like rigor, ZOMG.

^ agreed i’m only taking three APs next year. and i might self study government, world history and human geography because those topics interest me. haha i love history. :)

AP US History
AP Eng Lang & Comp (exam only)
AP Psychology
AP Eng Lit

3/6 offered AP classes at my school. The funny thing is it’s impossible to take them all without sacrificing other advanced classes, meaning you either load up on AP’s to take them all and get stuck in the regular levels of everything else with the dumb below average kids, or you take a few AP’s and a DE or two and get that nice academically-intense environment. The irony, I see it.

I actually wish my school had more though. Personally, I would’ve liked to take AP Bio and AP Enviro…unfortunately, I’m stuck with regular Enviro because it’s all that offered. My other choice is AP Physics B…online. -twitches-

Millancad, I never said anything was bad with it. I just don’t want you guys to get burned out from it. FTR, I do like rigor myself, maybe not your definition of it. And no need for the nasty attitude, we’re not debating anything.

Saying you agree that it “sucks the fun out of learning” is sort of saying that it does something bad. I certainly don’t consider sucking the fun out of learning to be a positive.

Sorry, Internet emotions can be hard to read.

I agreed with Kiwi_Nights because I didn’t know if you guys were doing all of these APs for enjoyment or only because it’d look good on your college application.
