what’s an 'on campus canteen?"

^ Celeryshtick, it’s a place where kids can buy a burger or similar fare and hang with friends. Someplace social to grab a bite and be social besides the dining room, that is open when the dining room is not. I’m sure many schools offer this sort of thing, but it is probably called by different names.

St George’s has a term at sea. Exeter has a variety international programs including a term in Rome for Classics students, It participates in both the Mountain School, a Caribbean school and a Washington intern project for a term. Walnut Hill has (required) arts concentrations as does Interlochen. Exeter has a fencing program (that may change into a varsity sport–under consideration). Andover also has a fencing program --but not varsity, BUA and Commonwealth have varsity fencing.

NEED BLIND ADMISSIONS
NOTE: Need-blind admissions means the admission decision is completely separate from the FA decision. It does NOT mean that if you’re accepted your need will automatically be met. That is “full need” category. Andover and St. Andrew’s (DE) do both.

I tidied things up a bit, added a little, and deleted On Campus Work Programs (Concord) because as far as I can tell it just refers to campus “work jobs” which many or most schools have. To whoever posted it, if it means something more substantial, like a formal on-campus internship, please be more specific when you repost.

I also deleted the Rivalries section as they also are neither unique nor exceptional. If people have an interest in knowing rivalries, that would be a separate thread for someone to start. Might be fun during this slow time on cc.
