List of the best review books

for those of you who have used the princeton review book to study for the biology sat2...how long did it take it? and how many times did you read through the book?

i used barrons for bio m. crammed the night before. got a 740 because of stupid mistakes. but if you took the ap class, you can def get over 700.

^ no i took biology honors 2 years ago...and i basically forgot everything

How do you sticky threads like this so it doesn't get lost?

ok... voodoo santa, all you need is the pr and the barrons book.

read pr first, then barrons. do the BARROns tests first, and then pr.

so does pr cover ALL I have to know for the sat2?

im not sure about that... but barrons is an overkill which helps you score higher.

on the practice tests for barrons i got like 660 and on the real one i got like 740

^ not really looking for "overkill"...don't really have enough time to do extensive studying. Aiming to get around a 700~ (obviously the higher the better but I'd be happy with a 700). Also how long did it take you to study?

1.5 days lol. i'd go with barrons if your going for 700

y isn't this stickied?

bump this up

bumpp

this thread is quite useful.

Biology M:

Princeton Review (A, C, D) Rec 2: (B, C, D, F, G)

^^ what do the letters and the Rec 2: stand for?
sorry if this question is dumb...

look at the first post on page 8 of this thread.
ha!
rec 2 simply means recommendation 2, another recommendation. how nice.

anyway--my own comment:

wow this thread was amazingly awesomely helpful. i now know which books to get for math 2 and lit! Barron's! For both!! ha.!
super thanks to the part of the world who posted in this thread. i'll start studying in couple of weeks, and i'll sure as heck post my reviews for the future.

really, i want to give this thread a hug. or maybe too much of...
...nevermind.

should put this thread on the first page to help everyone with the same question -" best books of ...." :)

Could anyone tell me if the 2007-08 edition of PR's Cracking the SAT Math 1 and 2 Subjects Tests is completely different from the 2005-06 edition ?
What about Barron's SAT II book (8th edition) ? I have the 7th edition and I'm wondering if I should consider buying the new one. Thanks

Anyone ... ?

mourad23, With Math, the more experience--the better off you'll be

you probably know material from school, so you just need a quick review and just a buttload of practice problems. with the editions (from my experience), there isn't much of a change if it's '1' edition, prob just some typos or solution fixes. However it is your money.

Mathematics Level 2:
-McGraw Hill (A, H)

I didn't use the McGraw Hill for studying. I used Barron's for all my studying...McGraw Hill for practice tests because i finished all the practice tests in Barron's. Tests are pretty accurate. I usually skipped two or less but on the real test I skipped 3 and got 800
:D enjoy studying

Wow, I seem to have completely forgotten about this thread. I'll update the list to include the newer posts once I get the chance.
